Wednesday Link List

This was a week for reconstructing the blogroll here.   “Oh, Oh, The Places You’ll Go” lists all the things that are NOT blogs, along with, for a limited time, a description of each one on-screen — you don’t even have to mouse hover — which for some strange reason Made Every Word Start With A Capital Letter.

The actual blogs are now found further down in a new section called “Blog Stops.”

And now on to this week:

  1. As co-author of How to Profit From the Coming Rapture, I should point out that the statement that the book exists only in one author’s imagination, “so far,” is incorrect.

It exists in the physical world. I refer you and your readers here:

    • Many apologies. Here’s the backstory:

The blogger linked in this week’s list actually posted this back on July 23rd, which is a lifetime ago in blog years. So for a couple of weeks, I didn’t actually use this link.

At that point, because I am managing far too many blogs right now and doing too much work between 11 and 12 PM, I was considering this as a serious book that someone had written on literally profiting from the whole end-times scenario. I mean, why not?

I should say at this point that not every Evangelical Christian — of which I am one — agrees with the Tim LaHaye end-times pre-tribulation rapture calendar. (Check out the book End Time Delusions by Steve Wohlberg.)

But then, later on, and again not paying attention, my understanding was that the blogger in question had done the whole thing as a mock post, and that there was no book. That was the assumption I went on when I posted this.

But, as a guy in the book biz (who, I’m sorry, can’t link to Am*az*n or even mention it) I could have done some very simple due diligence to uncover the books existence; not to mention the cover art was too detailed for the book not to exist.

So I apologize, and I’ll post the cover image — from Ingram’s website no less — to try to atone for my sins!

The book is real, the ISBN is 9780316017305
