When You Realize You Don’t See the World as Other Do

You can simply give up trying.

Subscribers: I apologize for the five (count ’em) grammatical and spelling errors in yesterday’s post. I was coming off finishing a meticulous editing of our newsletter (on which this blog was based ten years ago) and should have taken an extra minute to do the same here, especially since this is seen by more people. A corrected version appears here. As today’s headline indicates, future posts may be sporadic.

  1. There’s an old saying about ‘Marching to the tune of a different drummer.’ As a sister in the Lord, this is my version: ‘we are not marching to the tune of a different Drummer, but simply to a different tune coming from the same Drummer,’ and there is nothing wrong with that. There is room for us all in the Body of Christ; we are each unique in Him, but our aim should always be to promote unity and harmony among us, as we march to our own, individual tune. Any discussions that tend to bring strife really aren’t beneficial, and today there are so many firebrands waiting to be lit that Christians would be wise to steer clear of. Someone once said, “The devil is the accuser of the brethren….I definitely do not want to take sides with him.” Having said all of that, yes, you can simply give up trying…go back to your fishing nets! Or you can continue to nourish the Body of Christ with the edifying posts you have been giving us for years, Paul – this was just a detour.

  2. Giving up isn’t the answer Paul. I have told you (on various occasions) that I didn’t like/understand the conflict that you seem to have in Canada/USA (and you correctly pointed out mainly USA). The reason I read your blog daily is to connect to christians from somewhere else.. I really thought we were all friends ultimately. Brothers/Sisters. Feel really sad that we are fighting each other. Hurts so much. God Bless.
