Wednesday Link List

post-apocalyptic-fiction

Welcome to another week of linking. A few more music-related things this week than average. Also, this was again a challenge assembling to get past all the American political content that continues to flood the internet. Will this all start to fade into the background, or will it just intensify in the buildup to Inauguration Day?

You can show support and encouragement to us by downloading my wife’s Christmas album for only $7 or for just a buck ($1) download the title song.

  1. I take issue with the Heaven quiz. Question 2 asks “In Revelation chapters 21 -22, Heaven is described as _______.” I got the answer correct because from the choices given “a new city on a new earth” was the most correct. But I contend that the most correct response in this case is still wrong. Revelation 21:1-2 reads “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

The city of New Jerusalem is not all there is to heaven. I’ve heard the dimensions of heaven listed and speculation about how the laws of physics will not apply if all believers from all time are going to fit. We will have the whole world, with no more sea, and all of heaven to occupy. The dimensions given in Rev. 21:16-17 are only for the one city. Another question in the quiz deals with those dimensions but refer to God’s holy city.
