In nine out of ten provinces, this is Canada Day. In the province of Quebec, it’s moving day, as every residential lease terminates on the same day, and this in a province where there are more renters than owners. But as usual, I digress.
I know most of my readers are Americans, but Canada is, other than the cold weather, a great place to live.
Happy birthday, neighbors! I have made only a few trips to Canada but thoroughly enjoyed each one. It’s a beautiful place.

Thanks. For everyone else, it turns out that Meg, who is a regular reader here, is also the author of the recently released Waterbrook fiction title, When Sparrows Fall. I ordered a single copy for our bookstore — hey, we’re a small market store — and one of my staff members bought it before it ever reached the shelves. So we’ve ordered a few more!

Thanks, Paul! If you have a chance to read it, I would love to hear your thoughts on the theological and church issues in the story. From your Canadian perspective, of course. :)
