It’s one thing to rant about the condition of the church today, it’s quite another thing to back it up with some hard data.   Anything connected to The Barna Group is going to have the quantitative information to back up the qualitative remarks.

This book, unChristian, is probably one of the clearest pictures you’ll ever get about the nature of the people we are supposed to be trying to reach, hence the title, and the nature of the people doing the reaching.

So I’m currently up to chapter four.   That’s the first chapter four, not the second chapter four; the layout of this book is different as a variety of guest writers respond to each topic presented.

I’ll blog on this again when I finish it.   My initial reaction is that this book contains a good mix of Biblical referencing throughout so that it’s not just a bunch of facts and figures only pastors would be interested in.   I wish some of the sample sizes were larger, but it seems to present information that is trustworthy.
