  2. Right now, or the past 40 years? It is impossible for people in other parts of the world to see past the decadence and the consumerism. But the money says, ‘In God We Trust.’ It leaves them confused.

    I do think however, that it would do most Americans good to look deeply into the perceptions that the people of different nations have of the USA.
